International pioneers in the research of label-free optical imaging provide an overview of the fundamentals and the diverse application potential of these innovative methods for medical diagnostics in the journal Nature Photonics. Among the four authors is the Codirector of the Abbe Center of Photonics, Prof. Dr. Jürgen Popp.

The review marks an important step towards making label-free imaging more accessible to researchers and physicians and promoting greater interdisciplinary collaboration.
